Sew Stylin' Neighborhood Group
Our Chapter's Sew Styling Neighborhood Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m at Country Stitches in East Lansing. The group is currently working on a variety of projects. Some are sewing jean jackets or denim inspired projects for the October challenge. Others are working on a duffle bag from the pattern, Duffle Bags, by Cindy Taylor Oates. The Neighbor Group is the perfect setting to learn new techniques because you are sewing with friends and have the opportunity to learn from others!

Sewing Retreat - 2018
August, 22 - 25 our Chapter held a sewing retreat at the Farmstead Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. A sewing retreat is an excellent time to get a lot of sewing done and still have to relax and interact with your sewing friends. It is nice to able to sew without interruptions. We don't have to stop in the middle of a project to do laundry, make a meal, or do errands. We do stop to eat meals that others cook and also to shop! It is easy to get inspired by seeing what others are making.
We are making plans for another retreat in 2019. Maybe you can join us!
Pictures of last year's retreat are shown below.
